I coach and teach people in Korea and abroad, and I'm building my own business around it. At home that runs from office workers to C-level executives and high-net-worth individuals, which follows from the IB and VC years.

Teaching Korean came first, and from there a lot of things connected to Korean culture. My students include language teachers with twenty-five years in their own classrooms — English, French, Spanish — and I run Maru, a community of about a hundred people from fifty countries.

For executives abroad I teach business Korean, and when politicians and business people visit Korea, I meet them and show them the country.

Along the way I run social accounts in Korean and in English, about twenty thousand followers in total. Educator and coach, podcaster, marketer, private investor, writer — several identities at once. Two reels have between them passed a million likes.

Before this I was a humanities student who liked debate, presenting and writing, and I finished university the hard way. Then military service as an artillery forward observer operating the TAS-1K, four years as an investment banker at a securities firm in Yeouido, and a year reviewing deals at a venture capital firm in Apgujeong. I was an institutional investor once; now I invest on my own account.
